G.B.R.-02 HyouRyuu (氷竜 - Ice Dragon), alternatively spelled as HyoRyu, is a Brave robot from The King of Braves GaoGaiGar TV series, along with its related medias. Part of GGG's Mobile Unit, he can initiate Symmetrical Docking with G.B.R.-03 EnRyuu to form ChouRyuuJin or with G.B.R.-07 RaiRyuu to form GenRyuuJin.

Overview[]
HyouRyuu is the second G-Stone powered Brave robot created, 2 seconds older than his younger brother, EnRyuu. Similar to his brother, HyouRyuu can System Change into a truck mode (an effect of the System Change so far only seen in HyouRyuu and EnRyuu is the ability to transform into Semi-Vehicle Mode by keeping their legs in vehicle mode, while the upper torso is free to use weapons such as the Pencil Launcher), and uses the same A.I system, albeit they have opposite personalities. HyouRyuu is calm and calculating, fitting for his ice motif, unlike his brother's flamboyant personality, which could cause the siblings to occasionally end up bickering with each other.
During sorties, HyouRyuu and EnRyuu can be deployed using the Bay Tower Base's numerous underwater tunnels that lead up into the surface or use the Triple Decked Flying Carrier's Mirror Catapult if a long-distance deployment is required.
Equipment & Abilities[]
- Power Crane
A long crane equipment that HyouRyuu can use for many purposes. It can be used to lift objects when used in Vehicle Mode.
- Freezing Rifle => Ul-Tech Rifle
- A long-range freezing rifle embedded into the Power Crane. It is upgraded into the Ul-Tech Rifle after the battle with EI-01 to better combat the newly arrived 31 Machine Primevals, with the Rifle now firing beams instead of freezing rays.
- Crane Tonfa
- When required, the Power Crane can be detached and worn over HyouRyuu's right arm as a tonfa weapon. It can especially be used in combination attacks alongside EnRyuu with his Ladder Tonfa.
- Chest Thriller
By opening up the panel on his chest, HyouRyuu can use the Chest Thriller, which unleashes freezing winds that can be used for fire extinguishing or offensive purposes. The Thriller's power can be adjusted using the knob on the right of the chest panel.
- Freezing Gun
A handheld beam pistol that becomes ChouRyuuJin's right forearm, stored in HyouRyuu's left leg. When under influence from The Power, the weapon is known as the Power Freezing Gun.
- Pencil Launcher
An optional equipment that HyouRyuu and EnRyuu can use. It is a pencil-shaped rifle that can fire various types of ammunition. One of the ammunition types is the Stiffening Projectile, a 2-part stiffening gel that is formed when HyouRyuu and EnRyuu fires their respective A and B gel projectiles at the target, the said gels mixing together upon contact and forming a ceramic composite, which proved to be useful in situations like preventing a ceiling from collapsing or dropped bombs from exploding. Other types include nets and conventional explosive rounds.

HyouRyuu and EnRyuu's ultimate technique, used in the last episode of GaoGaiGar Final. Dialing their chest knobs to Level Infinity (無限/Mugen), HyouRyuu and EnRyuu open up their chest blasters and unleash their full power at the enemy. This attack is only usable when the brothers are in zero proximity with the enemy in order for it to work, and won't work well with ChouRyuuJin due to the chest blasters' position now situated on the inner side of ChouRyuuJin's legs. Defeated P-Vater.
History[]
Development of HyouRyuu and EnRyuu based on information gathered from Galeon's data terminal started sometime in 2004, with HyouRyuu going online on 14:25:11 in a certain 2004 day, followed by his brother EnRyuu 5 seconds later. It took the staff at GGG half a year to educate and nuture the brothers' A.I, which was why later Brave robots either used a copied A.I from the first Ryuu brothers or have their A.I based on an existing person, in order to cut down the time required to create a new Brave. The brothers' A.I boxes were soon inserted into their respective mechanical bodies, however none of them were able to conduct System Change into robot mode, although theoratically they could, with professor Leo Shishiou suggesting that it could be because Earth's technology is inferior to those of the Green Planet's. During EI-06's assault, the 2 Ryuu brothers were allowed to sortie despite being unable to transform, as they could still carry out rescue tasks thanks to their vehicle modes. When GaiGar cannot Final Fusion into GaoGaiGar due to having to protect Mamoru and his friends, HyouRyuu and EnRyuu gained the ability to transform, with some help from Mamoru giving them a boost of power as a side effect of his hightened emotions after seeing the Zonder Robo wreck havoc to the city. The brothers slowed EI-06 down and allowed GaoGaiGar to form and extract the Zonder Core, followed by the Zonder's wreckage being pushed into a river by the brothers to prevent more collateral destruction. In the following episode, they combined with each other to form ChouRyuuJin when their SympaRate reached 100% as they were both determined to save GaoGaiGar from EI-07's explosion due to the large amount of oil inside the Zonder's body, which they successfully did using the Eraser Head. They participated in later battles against the Zonderians and helped taking down EI-01 as ChouRyuuJin.
