—The narrator's speech after GaiGar's last Fusion in the TV show in the battle against the Zonuda Robo, GaoGaiGar Episode 49.

GaiGar (ガイガー) is a Brave robot from The King of Braves GaoGaiGar TV series. He is formed from the Fusion (フュージョン) of the cyborg Guy Shishiou and Galeon. He can then perfom Final Fusion (ファイナルフュージョン) with the GaoMachines (Stealth Gao, Liner Gao, Drill Gao) to form the Super Mechanoid G.B.R.-01 GaoGaiGar. GaiGar can also additionally assume StealthGao Mode by equipping the Stealth Gao on his back, DrillGao Mode by wearing each of the Drill Gao's halves over his forearms or S.D Mode by equipping both GaoMachines at the same time. Following Guy's evolution into an Evoluder at the epilogue of the TV show and Galeon's upgrade into Genesic Galeon in The King of Braves GaoGaiGar FINAL, GaiGar is accordingly upgraded into Genesic GaiGar, now being able to combine with the Genesic Machines to form Genesic GaoGaiGar.

Overview[]

GaiGar usually relies on hand-to-hand combat when fighting enemies with his GaiGar Claws due to not being equipped with many weapons, although he can utilize the Drill Gao's drills for additional offensive and defensive power. By equipping the Stealth Gao GaiGar can perform long-distance flights along with extra maneuverability. Meanwhile, S.D Mode will reduce GaiGar's overall speed compared to StealthGao Mode but will increase his combat potential with the drills, (specifically 22.1% down on mobility and 46.3% up on defense). With the drills on, GaiGar can use them to block energy beam attacks.

In this form, Galeon cannot use his barrier-disabling roars as the they can shatter Guy's body, who is piloting the Mechanoid from within Galeon's mouth. Another weakness is that the lion head now remains open in this form, which could lead to enemies entering from there and attacking Guy directly, seen in the case with Genesic GaoGaiGar.

In simulations, the Fusion sequence into GaiGar of Guy and Galeon has a 99.98% successful rate.

Equipment & Abilities[]

  • GaiGar Claw

Originally Galeon's Galeon Claw, now mounted on GaiGar's arms and feet. Good slicing weapons for ordinary metals and can be used to assist in climbing.

History[]

GaiGar was first formed when Guy and Galeon conducted Fusion to combat the newly emerged EI-02. He then assumed StealthGao Mode to outmaneuver the Zonder before separating a partially assimilated passenger ship from EI-02 with his GaiGar Claw, rescuing its passengers, including Mamoru Amami and his friends. However, EI-02 soon overpowered and grappled GaiGar, which led to Guy requesting for Final Fusion to form GaoGaiGar. With the Super Mechanoid formed, EI-02 was defeated with the use of Hell and Heaven.
