Red Geist (レッドガイスト) is an antagonist robot from The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn TV series. It is piloted by the now half-cyborg Redlone.

Overview[]

A robot built exclusively to defeat Da-Garn, the Red Geist's combat capabilities possibly rivals, even exceeding those of Great Da-Garn GX's, evidenced by the former's considerably larger size and higher maximum output. Red Geist can change into a dragon mode for fast travel and includes a detachable aircraft on its chest which houses the cockpit, called as the Red Breaster. The Red Breaster can transform into a tiger mode, but this is only referenced in the toy.

Named Equipments & Abilities[]

  • Red Hammer

A pair of head-mounted Vulcan guns.

  • Red Rifle

Red Geist's main weapon. An immensely powerful beam rifle that can penetrate almost anything and leave behind a considerable amount of damage.

  • Red Shield

A shield transformed from the dragon mode's height. It can fend off Great Da-Garn GX's Great Ballista with ease.

  • Red Sword

A sword stored within the Red Rifle, seen only in the final episode during Red Geist's final duel with Seven Changer.

History[]

The Red Geist made it's first appearance in Episode 32, when Redlone attempts to capture a TV station and use the workers there as hostages. Although he was driven off from the station through the combined efforts of Seiji Takasugi, Yanchar and several Global Defense Organization troops, he soon boarded the Red Geist and battled the Brave Warriors, proving himself a formidible foe in combat. Him and the Red Geist was later seen participating in various of Violetche's operations around the world along with the defense of the Ohboss Star. During the final battle which takes place on Earth, Red Geist critically damaged Seven Changer, after that switching his attention to Great Da-Garn GX. As he was about to finish GX off, Seven Changer once again took his stand for a final showdown with Red Geist. Both units charged forward with each combatant's sword penetrating the other, the match ending in both Red Geist and Seven Changer destroyed, along with Redlone hysterically remarking that in the end, he still won.

Notes[]

  • Like the vast majority of villain toys in the Brave Series, Red Geist's design was reused from the Transformers franchise. Specifically, Red Geist is based on the Transformers Victory Decepticon Leader Deathsaurus. The toy itself is a straight recolor and omits the Eaglebreast component, whereas the animation model in the series makes several modifications to make it more distinct from Deathsaurus.
  • Although the mecha's name is structured very similarly to the Space Pirate Geisters, Red Geist has no connections to the group due to the Brave series being isolated in their own continuities.
